CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Robin
Character Canon: Fire Emblem: Awakening
History: Here
AU History: Additional details addressed in a PM to the mod journal. For the purposes of his current history, Robin has just recently awoken in the Forest Shrine with no recollection of who he is or what he is doing there.
Canon Personality: Robin can be, for lack of a better term, a bit blase. He's able to take a lot in stride and is typically seen as rather unflappable. That's not to say Robin isn't given to displays of stronger emotions, but he's definitely able to maintain his composure.
A good part of that is because Robin has a keen mind with a tremendous capacity for analysis and tactical decision. Robin is cool and collected not because he necessarily wants to be, but because he knows he must. Robin is guided by a tremendous sense of duty, and that responsibility weighs on him more than he might outwardly indicate.
That's not to say of course that Robin is cheerless. He has a bit of a snarky side and tends to have a understated but very much present sense of humor. While his life is dictated by the grave and serious nature of his duties and goals, he still is capable of finding joy and companionship in life. He is naturally friendly and while he might not always start on the right foot, his capability to gain support dialogue with every character in the game is telling of how capable he is of forging meaningful bonds with those around him.
Ultimately, despite his darker heritage, Robin is someone who finds himself called to greater purpose. He forges deep bonds with those around him and works to be a force of good and righteousness. He sees injustice in the world and strives to correct it. He is naturally skilled at gaining the measure of a person quickly, and as a result, interestingly, finds trust comes surprisingly easy. With this comes a certain impulsiveness that at first seems at odds with his more reserved nature. However, both sides exist as part of a single whole - Robin, given even a few moments of consideration can execute a masterful strategy that will scatter his foes before him. However, he deeply understands that time is a luxury he is not always afforded - and as such he strives constantly to train his mind and be ready to act and act correctly when the situation demands it.
AU Deviation: As Brave New World's setting is not a constant war zone, Robin will be much more at ease and in some respects lackadaisical than in canon. That's not to say he lacks the compelling drive that characterizes him through much of the game, but with more leisure to explore other interests. He takes an interest in the arts and literature, even if they aren't necessarily practical.
While in canon he could be a bit taciturn, he'll be somewhat warmer in Brave New World. Again, as the city of Union isn't aggressively oppressive he'll naturally be drawn to the lighter side of his personality.
Canon Abilities: Robin has access to the unique Tactician and Grandmaster classes that only he and his children may inherit. The Tactician and Grandmaster both can utilize swords and magic tomes effectively and work well in teams. Additionally, he can access every other available class in the game, save the classes that are restricted to women (a female Robin would be able to access those classes but not the classes restricted to men). A full listing can be found lower down on his character entry.
Enlightened Abilities: Robin is a Fighting/Dragon Child of Knowledge Unbound Analyst.
In terms of abilities, he'll primarily be drawing from the Tactician/Grandmaster line, with a splash of abilities from the Myrmidon/Swordmaster and Magician/Sage lines as well to emphasize his specialization in blade and spell.
In his initial state, he'll generally look fairly human, save for a small brand on his hand. He'll be able to utilize some low level elemental effects courtesy of his Dragon typing, and be an adept Swordsman.
As he evolves, the brand will spread with darker markings along his arm tracing his veins and stretching to his heart.
His final evolution will see the markings spread across his body, mostly along his torso and his arms and legs while mostly emanating from her heart (but not normally reaching his face, unless he is using some particularly powerful abilities).
At level 1, his primary always usable spell will be Thunder, a bolt of lightning he can call down from the heavens. At level 30, he will acquire the spell Rally Spectrum, which gives his allies an enormous boost to their capabilities for a short period of time. Finally, at level 55, he will acquire the ultimate Lightning spell Mjolnir, which unleashes a storm of lightning upon his enemies.
In terms of spells, he also has the following in his spellbook:
Fire: A basic flame spell that launches a ball of fire.
Elfire: A stronger burst of flame.
Arcfire: A wave of powerful fireballs.
Elthunder: A burst of stronger lightning bolts
Arcthunder: A storm of lightning
Wind: A basic wind spell that launches blades of wind.
Elwind: A stronger blast of wind blades
Arcwind: A burst of powerful wind blades.
Starter Pokémon: Eevee and Murkrow
Notes/Special Considerations: His backstory is outlined in more detail in the mod PM, as well as the special notes to weave him into the setting.
His abilities have been modified for a setting update. In general, as a Gigas Enhanced, he possesses the Child of Knowledge Unbound ability, something he always had but never could identify and thus did not make a big deal of in the past.

First-Person:
-What would you say the role of Pokémon is in your life?
Friends and allies, of course! They are my trusted allies, I would stand beside them in the face of danger and death and I know they would do the same for me.
-What do you feel your role in Union is?
That's hard to say! I'm not sure I really belong in Union, but since it was so kind to take me in I feel I need to utilize my skills for its benefit as best I can.
-What do you seek for humanity’s future?
I would love to see humanity be great once again, but not at the cost of ourselves. We must never forget our place in the world is to coexist, not to fight.
-To what lengths would you go to rescue your allies if they were lost in the wilderness?
I would give my life if it meant seeing them to safety, of that you have my word.
-What does the story of the Savior mean to you?
I'm not too familiar with the story, truth be told. I read about it in some of the books and it's certainly an interesting tale. I'd love to sit down sometime and discuss the meanings and metaphors within the legend, as well as the progression of the etymology and potential translation issues I noticed in reading the primary tomes.
-What aspects and traits do you respect most in your individual fellow man?
I greatly admire the born leaders among us. Those who can walk and act with nobility and assurance, using their position of power to guide everyone to a brighter future.
-What do you look for in the Pokémon with whom you bond?
An agreeable temperament is always a plus, I've had a few too many beaks come within inches of my eyes and it's not an experience I care to repeat often.
-What would you say is your greatest duty, and why?
My greatest duty? That's simple, assisting my friends and comrades and seeing them safely through any dangers that they may face.
-You plunge into the depths of the Old City. What is it that you seek from the past? Treasure, technology, wisdom?
Wisdom and information on the past, definitely. I don't know much of my past, but I would love to find out more about all of our pasts.
-When encountering a rare and powerful Pokémon, what is most important? Researching it, bonding with it, or defeating it? Why?
Researching it, definitely. Knowledge is power, and honestly if it's that rare it probably wouldn't like me all that much. But if it wants to bond with me, who am I to object?
APPLICATION REVISION
Additional History: After awakening at the Forest Shrine, Robin integrated into the city of Union. He started out offering tutoring to noble children, but eventually began working with the Rangers and the Swords of the Savior as a tactician and strategist.
All this time, he worked closely with Cordelia Chevalier, a noblewoman affiliated with the Rangers. They grew close, and that closeness grew into love, and the two were wed in early Spring.
Since the wedding, Robin has been working with the Swords of the Savior, primarily, and growing accustomed to his new life as both nobility and a married man.
